Nasty new raw bar

I had a new raw food bar today It was absolutely horrible. I wondered if anyone tasted it before they sold it. I was excited to try it because it is a brand new product, but it's awful.

Everyone's tastes are different. Obviously the maker thought it was good. I just tried "think organic" and I loved it! They sell it conveniently at Walmart which is where I do my weekly shopping! I'm glad such a large retailer is at least selling something raw!!:D

I bought some chocolate raw revolution bar and was so excited but then I thought it was terrible...I wonder if I'll like it now after thirty days raw. Maybe my taste buds have changed.

I have only had the LaraBars and one other brand,

so I also have to put a plug in for the Raw Revolutions Raw Bar

I tried one while visiting a HFS in St Augustine, Florida last November and I LOVED it! I think the flavor I had was the Chocolate Rasberry! YUM!:p

I liked it better than the LaraBar, too! Though if I only have LaraBars to choose from, Cherry Pie is my favorite Larabar flavor!;)

Tvillemom: I wish my WalMart sold the Think Organic Bars, I'd love to try them!

I do have a super Wal-Mart near me. I will have to check it out. I looked for protien bars there but not raw bars. Silly me!

NZGirl- I only had that one Raw Rev. Bar in November, I think it was choc-raspberry, and I thought it was yummy. I wonder what I would think now. Our taste buds do change with time!

Like I said before, everyone's taste buds are different!
I also feel like, for me, that if I eat 1 "raw" bar a week, and it's 80% raw, then it kept me raw, more so than eating a Hershey bar!;)
To some, a raw bar may taste like dirt, for others it may taste "earthy" and GOOD....we are all different!

This past weekend, I tried Raw Revolution's raw bar (their hazelnut/chocolate flavor) and did not like it at all. To me, it was very bland. Maybe their other flavors might taste better to me. I've tried LaraBars in the past and enjoy those, even though there is some controversy on whether or not they are truly raw.

Whole Foods here in AZ just recently started carrying 3 more brands of raw bars and one of them I absolutely love, but I can't remember the name of it! I think it's called "Organic Raw Food Bar". (go figure!) I tried their chocolate chip flavor and it was sooooo good -- even better than LaraBar, in my opinion. :) I looked online for it by that name and couldn't find anything on it, so I'm not sure that is the correct name. My hubby will be at WFM tonight and will be purchasing more of them, so I'll be able to get the exact name then. It's not Smart Monkey (which is the other brand WFM is selling). Gosh, now I'll spend all day thinking about the name of that bar!! LOL!
