I am wanting to start yoga. Do I have to strictly do prenatal yoga or otherwise? Any recommendations on videos?

My Favourite video is "Yoga Shakti" my Shiva Rea.
The exercises feel great, a lot of variations on sun salutations, very invigorating. It includes some calming yoga too. This DVD is the best so far, and it is the only one I use regularly. I own a lot of them. Another good one is "Yoga for energy" by Rodney Yee.
I would stick to prenatal yoga untill after your child is born, you don't want to do anything too intense now.

Hi there,
Definately stick to prenatal! You can't lie on your back flat or on your stomach while you are pregnant and therefor a lot of poses need to be modified. Also, if you haven't done yoga before, you don't want to pick up something too strenuous that your body is not used to. I think doing prenatal yoga would be awesome! I hear yoga even helps with the birthing process and can help relieve pressure and pains you experience later along. I haven't had any babies, but I love yoga and hope to do it through my pregnancies some day. Good luck!
