i have never sprouted lentils or had them raw.
I can not eat any kind of raw beans although i know lentils are a legume.
Do i just get them from the bulk bin & soak & sprout?
can anyone share their experiences with digesting these? gas? bloating?
THANKS!!!!:D

I bought lentils out of bins, sprouted them and the result was great. I have eaten them too, but not sure if my body can digest them well raw in salads. Last night I had this burning in my chest and can't figure out what triggered it yet, so not saying it was the lentils, but not sure what it was.
I do like them being nice and crisp too....look very pretty in salads.

I've started to experiment with sprouting. So far I've only done lentils, and my blackeyed peas are not ready yet, so I'm not sure how they will turn out.
I have had some serious issues with gas. It could very well be the lentils, but it also could be a number of other things, like general detox, less than perfect food combining, etc. I hope it's not the lentils, because I'm relying on them for my source of protein!

I thought I could digest sprouted lentils very well but got a distinct gut ache. I'll experiment again but wish there was some explanation. And I'm blood type A and lentils are good for us. I was thinking about how the Boutenko family gets there protein primarily from the amino acids from dark leagy greens. Maybe I'm turning into a chimpanzee.
