My name is Debra. I am a sahm to 6 children whom we homeschool. I help my husband run our business building and maintaining websites and doing internet marketing. We first heard about raw food about 2 years ago. We gave it a whirl as I had 100 plus pounds to lose. Sadly we were missing pieces to the puzzle and failed miserably. But we enjoyed our green smoothies so kept those up for the most part. Then about 2 weeks ago raw food living came to my mind again. Not sure what put the idea there but her were are- I am 1 week completely raw and down 10 lbs. My husband who was suffering from Gerd, gastristis and hypoglycemia has not had a single symptom of his medical issues.. he feels great.
The kids still eat some cooked food but know that as soon as those kinds of food are gone we are not purchasing any more. They are enjoying the free access to fruits and nuts.. And they sure love the banana ice cream!
2 days ago Allisa's book and dvd's came in the mail.. I am devouring them! I learned a lot from the dvd! I look forward to learning more.

Thanks for the welcome.. I have 100 lbs to lose.. so you are welcome to join me :-)
today we went grocery shopping and was very fortunate to find young coconuts and chemoya's.. I also picked up some buckwheat to do a pizza crust this week and some raw carob..
I liked the coconut though the kids were less than thrilled. THe baby loved it though! So I think I will feed him the water and the meat daily.. $2.29 is way less than what it would cost in baby food per day.. This price I am sure is a little steep but we are out in the boonies.. I was surprised to find them at our safeway.. When I get a chance to drive the hour into the next town over I may find them cheaper.
