I always want to make sandwhiches and have crackers for dips. However, I really dislike making them. They never taste as good as the kind I used to get at raw restaurants and stores like Mother's in H.B. ( I miss that store! I'm mad I ever complained about the coconuts... If only I could find a coconut for 99cents now!)
So... anyone know of a place to order crackers?

My Favorite crackers are made by www.lydiasorganics.com.
My favorite flavor is the Italian flavored one. I also really love the
Organic Seasoning that she sells. I sprinkle it on top of one of my savory blended "soups" and on top of salads. I haven't had any in awhile and am awaiting my most recent order. The owner makes everything herself in small batches (or at least she used to) and the one thing may be a turn off for some is that she requires a minimum of $25 purchase. This is fine by me, since I order a variety of crackers and a couple of salad sprinkles at a time.
All of her ingredients are Organic, gluten-free, oil-free, sugar-free, soy-free which I also appreciate.
Other cracker flavors- Mild Curry, Ginger Nori, &
Green Crackers (made from spinach, collards, zucchini, arugula, kale, radicchio, lettuce, sprouted sunflower seeds, carrots, sprouted almonds, celery, parsley, basil, soaked walnuts, sprouted flax, sundried tomatoes, red bell pepper, onions, garlic, Himalayan Crystal Salt & love. Dehydrated at low temperature to preserve "life-force".
You will also find cereals and raw fruit bars there.

Hi Cinnamon,
I also just ordered Lydia's Sunflower Seed Bread for the first time in my last order and I look forward to tasting it. I really hope that you enjoy your treats when they arrive!
Let me know which flavor crackers you tried and what you thought of them. Curious minds want to know..:D

Are Lydia's crackers made with whole flax seeds or ground up ones?
Are they really that good?

IMHO - I didn't like any of her crackers. I guess nothing can beat homemade.

Glaser Organic Farms makes stuff and sells it online.
Though I like most of what I tried...the rawies taste so disgusting. Maybe I had a bad palate day....but they brought back memories of morning sickness.
I love there crackers though.
Shipping isn't that bad unless you are ordering refrigerated items that require overnighting.

Could be because they're not truly raw. They use processed oats. Found only the soft ones in Oat or Banana good back when I use to eat them. Use to like their flax crackers, now can't stand them. Their Cashew Nori Crackers are on of the best raw crackers I've had.

I don't like her crackers, either. But I looooove the golden flax crackers, the sauerkraut crackers, etc that I order from RawGuru.com.

Really? I would have to follow up with them then b/c they do proclaim that all of their stuff is raw and Alissa recommends them in her book (learned this recently).

Hey SoulStar!
Thanks for the info on the raw crackers; sometimes we just don't have the time to dehydrate on our own, so hopefully this will be a great alternative for me. I realize this is an old thread, but I just found it!! I just placed an order with Lydia for some crackers and sesame bread and the Himalayan salt.... Will report back with my opinion on everything!
Thanks again :p

I found Lydia's stuff in Whole Foods, and just read this thread! I tried some of the norie crackers just now... they are good! I bought all the products and flavors that were on that shelf.

It took me awhile to find this out too. Found out you must many detailed questions to get the true answers from companies. Also found out many stuff they sell at their Sat Farmers Market isn't organic. They are a good company though, just need to know what you're buying. Most people don't care if something isn't 100% raw. Their website is very limited compared to all the items they have so if one is going through the expense of overnight shipping, they might want to order some of these other items. Most are in their catalog they can send. And you should call in your order or questions versus e-mail/ordering through website.

Interesting--I will say I wasn't 100% when I tried them and am not now--and I have never thought processed oats to taste like vomit. And that is truly what the rawies tasted like. I don't think not being true raw was the problem. I've never had a food that tasted like bile. Just my 2 cents and sorry for the TMI.
