I made some sunflower seed milk and it's so good! Not much different than almond milk to me. The best thing is that sunflower seeds are SO much cheaper than almonds. Anyway, I mixed the sunflower milk with a tablespoon of raw honey in the blender, and it's delicious.:D

I got plenty sunflower seeds myself. Thanks for sharing the "milk" with us. I may use some for a granola cereal for hubby: sprouted buckwheats and dehydrated, then perhaps fresh fruits and then milk.

How did you do it? Do you soak the sunflower seeds first or just blend them with water in the vitamix? Please share. I need a cheaper milk alternative than almond milk or i'll go broke. :)

Cool, thanks for sharing. I've been scared to try sunflower milk for some reason, afraid I'm not going to like it, LOL.

Sunflower Milk
Soak the sunflowers overnght
Rinse
In Blender:
fresh water
soaked sunflower seeds
(I would add my sweetner by hand lastly or in this step--i.e. dates too. See *)
Blend all
Place all into nut milk bag, squeeze to get milk out.
There you may have Sunflower milk.
*I assume you can even add a pinch of vanilla. I would think creatively if you wish to get a little more "spiced" up here. Oh, you can even add some dates which can sweeten up the milk. Now I'm thinking "outside the box."
Yes, never toss anything before re-thinking recycle. Yes, save the pulp and make a pate or maybe even cookies. These are suggestions that I would use.
