View Full Version : Carmella... your veggie wrap...
Hi Carmella... long time no see! Guess you've been busy uncookin'!
I love your new pics. Looks so yummilicious. What did you use as a wrap for the all-veggie soft wrap if you don't mind me asking? Looks almost like the corn tortillas that I make.

It looked like a soft shell and not like my brick flax crackers.
And...she gave me a teaser about her delicious calzones too that I am trying once again today as the buckwheat soaked overnight...gotta see if that is too long however per the expert Carmella.

carolg, I only soak buckwheat about 15-30 minutes, drain then let it start to sprout. It's usually done in a day and I give it a good rinse once or twice. The shorter soak time takes away that slimy feeling that the buckwheat gets when you soak it for a long time it's also a LOT quicker.

Hey Ama,
Yeah, don't know where the days go by! Don't seem to have enough time to do everything I'd like to do lately! Ah well...I've been lurking in the background though! hehe
The wraps are a modified version of Cherie Soria's recipe. I'm working on a blogpost in which I'll be giving the exact measurements but, in the meantime, you can take a look here (http://www.rawhike.com/foodplan.shtml) for the original recipe.
I just went to check on RFRW's soft corn tortillas and they do look alike a lot. Only the veggie wraps have no corn (which is great for people like me who are sensitive to it) and no flax. Just good ol' veggies!
I'm REALLY drooling over the new wrap pic you put up. THANKS for posting the link to the recipe, I'm going to have to try that WITH the cheddar cheese... oh my that looks so good! (so does your dessert... YUM!)
