Well, for the past like 4 months now, I've been having major problems with urinating, water retention, kidney pain, bladder pain, bleeding, and yeast infections......I don't know what it is. I've had this before, never for this long, but the doctors never had an answer....so I'm a reluctant to go back to them to waste more time and money.....but I'm a little scared. I don't really know what is going on with me. I'm sure a water fast for a week or so would do very well for me, but I just can't do that. I work and go to school, each equally full-time. So I'm wondering if a smoothie/juice fast is good enough to do for like a week, or maybe two......I just have to do this. I can't take it anymore. And I'm getting scared.....I'm starting to think negativley like there is a tumor inside of me that no one found before and it has just grown so large that it's wrecking havoc all over the place now. It's scary because I'm always so bloated. And it's not gas. I'm a skinny girl normally, and I just have this big round stomach now. Hard as anything. I've fasted for a day on water, and 3 on the master cleanse. The bloat did not go away. It's really scary. But I'm seriously to the point where I've got to do something serious about this and I feel like the doctors will give me the run around for months before they have any clue.....and I don't want to follow their methods either...... So will a juice/smoothie fast be good enough? Will it take extra long to cure myself of whatever the heck is going on? Please give me your thoughts. I can't live like this anymore, so I'm defintley going to fast....just don't know how....or if REALLY NEEDS to be a water fast. Thanks.

It’s too bad you haven’t been given any kind of diagnosis. That must be frustrating for you. Having no idea what the underlying issue is would make it hard for anyone to advise you effectively. I will tell you that green smoothies have a diuretic effect for me. Whatever is going on with your body it’s for certain that fresh raw foods are the only thing you should be consuming. Best wishes.

Thanks for your thoughts.....today I had a pineapple juice and a mango juice and I think I'm just going to have water for the rest of the day. Tonight, if the water seems like too little, I might have some watermelon juice (because I know that is also diuretic), or I'll try the green drinks like you said. I'm going to fast until next Wednesday, so that will be a week. After that, I'll judge how I am to see if I should still going or not. Hopefully the weird buldge will at least be gone. Well, and of course all of the other irritaing ongoing symptoms.
Oh and I did get diagnosed before...with interstitial cystitis......but I never heard of kidney pains occuring with interstitial cystitis....and the bleeding that I get sometimes, who knows...and the constant bloating and water retention doesn't ever get thrown around the IC message boards..... I just hope RAW will cure me like it has so many other people.

Hi, recurring yeast infections could be candida overload. You would be bloated with that also. There are candida cleanses you can do as you're nearly fasting now (herbs.) Check out the healthfood store or go online. Eat lots of garlic and probiotics as well.
I don't know for sure of course, but eating raw seems to "reset" all systems. Keep at it; can only help!
Also, if you had a tumor, it would probably hurt a lot.
