I was just wondering, how much weight would you lose on the first week of eating raw?
My body weight is made up of mostly fat and very very little muscle. Im 5'2 and I weight about 118.

There's no way to determine specifics b/c everyone is different in terms of their current health status, eating, activity level etc.

The only way to find out is by doing it. :)

You should look under Weight loss threads on this site to see what we've been discussing.;)

I actually gained weight the first week or so, but then it all just fell off. I lost nearly 50 pounds in roughly 4 months - the first 30 pounds coming off very easily within 40 days. But as ML said, it is difficult to say - everyone is different. Different metabolism, different eating styles, different exercise levels.

Be careful comparing your self to others. Try to set health goals for yourself instead and re-adjust what you are eating if you are not losing weight as you think you should. Maybe eat fewer nuts and fats if that is a heavy part of your diet.

I like the suggestion above. Look around at other weight-loss threads too. YOu are bound to find lots of helpful information here and there on this site!

Best wishes,

Most all of my weight was in my stomach, thighs and behind.
Finally i'm slowly seeing a change. Losing in these areas can be difficult for a woman.
I've always had a problem with constipation and since that's gotten better i'm seeing some changes in my body weight wise.
I've heard that if your body is in a state of being overtoxic then the weight will not come off so easily.

age, speed of metabolism, activity level - too many variables to give consistent results in people.

I used to be neurotic about weighing myself. I would go to the pool, weight myself, swim, and weigh myself again! For the record, no, I didn't lose any weight immediately after a forty minute swim. So desperate to be truly Raw after being high Raw, I got down on my knees and begged God for the grace and energy to be able to do His will in my life, and I just can't be a strong healthy woman without being Raw. Now I'm Raw and just don't weigh myself. I just don't get on those scales. I don't want to be brainwashed by our media driven society about a skinny sexy body and have my mood dependent on that number popping up on the scale. But today a customer of mine observed my distended belly is flattening, somewhat, and that's better than any number on a scale. And that's my rant and rave.
