I thought I'd share this with you all this experience. I just found out from Gold Mine that the dried coconuts under 'raw foods' are not raw. I was very surprised since the company has that special section catered to raw foodist. The company is also very reputable. I almost bought the coconut without asking, since I would assume it was raw.

They also have the worst carob powder. Other companies sell this brand so be sure to ask first.
I'm not sure if Gold Mine is the most reputable company. I've received many conflicting answers regarding their products. The fact that the carob powder isn't good, makes me wonder about other products.

That's weird because someone from Alissa's site said they don't sell Gold Mine carob...
The only thing I buy from Gold Mine is the sauerkraut. My hfs carries alot of Gold Mine products. I'll check into it, too.

Well, I got the sundried (allegedly....!) daikon from them and it's a nice addition to my salads.

We have taken this product off of our site as we did not know this was not raw.
Goldmine told us it was raw and also had it listed on their site as raw. We will now be selling the coconut powder which is WAY better anyway! That will be available next week.
Thanks!

Oh and thanks for letting us know you were going to buy it from them and not Alissa's site

Bowie, what about Alissa's carob-is it from Goldmine?

Hope you weren't upset by this. The price difference is big (half the price @ Gold Mine) and I was planning to buy other stuff from Gold Mine, and it would not make sense to pay 2 shipping charges. As much as I'd like to support Alissa and thank her for providing this forum, I have to watch my budget. Hope you can understand that.
