Parasites and a juice fast - TMI!

Hello everyone, I need some advice. I was advised during my colonic last night that there were parasites...EWWWWWWWWWW

I planned on starting a juice fast tomorrow and now I can't have anything sugary as I am taking a blend of herbs to get rid of these little buggers. I called my colonics place to day to see if I can do my juice fast while I was detoxing and they said no. They said that the sugar content in carrots and beets would allow the parasites to thrive instead of killing them off. SO. What do you all think? The cleanse is for 20 days and comprises of wormwood, clove and black walnut tincture. I can't have sugar in any form other than 'tart' forms - ie grapefruit (blech), granny smith apples, lemons etc.

YIKES ! how long have you been raw ? I was wondering this question often because I had read that parasites can't live in a body that is alkalined properly:confused: which is what naturally happens on a raw diet carrots and all. I would do the herb cleanse to speed up your healing and then juice. :confused: I hope the best for you, I am sure I will have to do the same. :eek:

I didn't keep note of the date I went raw as it was really a gradual thing, but high raw for a couple of months and 100% for about a month now. I was SO looking forward to my fast, and then was going to start the 30 day challenge (only b/c the recipes looked so yummy) April 1st. Grrr, now this huge kink in my plans! Now this cleanse will take me into April...and I have to train for a 10K run in May and I don't want to do a juice fast right before that...oh well.

I'm friends with the local colon hydrotherapists and she says she sees 'em shoot down the tube regularly. Yeah, we deworm our cats and dogs but not ourselves....oooh. I did Renew Life's Paragone kit before and found it extremely difficult. I really really hope that me being on a Raw diet for an extended period of time will shake anything off. And whatever you do, don't Google parasites and brain !

You can't tell people NOT to do something it makes um do it, hehe:eek: Ya I have googled that stuff before, I also say that about the animals all the time. Many cultures of the past knew what kinds of herbs to eat to get rid of parasites, why not the average Joe livin on McDonalds ;)

I did the Renew life Paragone kit...even did the Candida cleanse. Not too sure how much I believe in their product any more...they were both done recently, October and November... :mad:

Sounds like the herbal combination that they recommended will do the trick. I just finished my spring cleaning (which consisted of 3 consecutive colonics). I didn't have any parasites detected but I have always taken herbal teas with herbs like the ones you stated off an on just as a good preventative measure (due to the fact that I have been challenged with chronic constipation for years now, way before my decision to embrace raw living last August). I watched a documentary once a long time ago about digestion, constipation and parasites. It's amazing - the things that can linger around within. You'll be enjoying your fruit soon enough:)

I dont think I looked at the right link b/c I didn't see anything...just as well i suppose. Well I'm on day 2 of the parasite cleanse...I feel awful. I want a peach..but i can't. I am sniffly and my throat is sore (chalking that to detox) and i have a very irritable bowel...yuuuk. 18 more days...I really really want some of those nice soft dates I have in my fridge...DAMN PARASITES!! Why must you share my colon?? :rolleyes:
