Howdy All...
Was wondering... I have purchased Whole Aloe Leaves in the past. They took up alot of room in my fridgy. I just want to apply it to my skni nightly. But I dont want to have to always cut the goo from the leaf everynight, and leave the rest in the fridge to get all yellowy.
Sooooooooooo -- If I was to *blend* a big chunk of the goo and add a lil water, put it in a bottle, use portions each day and store it in the fridge, will it go bad? The blended aloe that is...
hmm... maybe it would last a while? i love aloe! when i was a kid, my father had an aloe plant and that took care of all our burns and ouches. we would pick at that thing all the time and it was wonderful. why not buy an aloe plant?

Maybe could reduce the amount you buy or just buy it weekly instead if the store is nearby. I am a true believer in the power of aloe. It is a good moisturizer and an even greater healer. I remember when I burned my skin on my face (used a cream that when I washed it off - my skin came off with it. The very first layer of skin. So I had bright pink skin exposed (I guess a first degree burn technically). I thought I was scarred for life and then someone told me to use aloe vera. I used it and in 3 days my skin returned to it's natural color. In 3 days! I thought I was going to have to start wearing make-up and have a permanent discoloration. In 3 days I my skin was smooth and flawless in the spots that were burned! Okay, okay, okay - that's the end of my aloe vera testimonial!

The plants are very easy to grow and need little care. You can just cut off the portion of the leaf that you want and the next night cut another bit. The cut will begin to seal itself . They reproduce very fast. I can not use mine fast enough to keep up.

Thanks all.
But, My place is 2 small for a plant. Not tryna do all that. hehe -- I have purchased the leaves before. There big, and to apply to the facial skin ( not the whole body- just face) takes very little aloe. I want to start using it in my skin care regime each night. But I dont want to have to cut and blend it each night before bedtime. I would rather have it, blend it, store it in the fridge and use up until I need to cut another leaf. Just cutting it from the leaf, makes it too thick to spread over my face, I like to dilute it with water, and blend so it spreads easy... instead of globs of slime. Ya dig? :)
Will it go bad? Should I add lemon to it? lol
Anyone?
You could add some grapefruit seed extract to it as a preservative.
