View Full Version : I tried the speggetti & Marinara Sauce

YUMM!!! I got Alissa's book and DVD on Friday, and scoured it for stuff i can make that I can by in a regular store. I decided on this recipie for dinner tonight, I can not beleive how good it was. I'd take this over regular speggetti any day, it's loaded with flavor! If you all haven't tried it yet...try it, try it :D I can't wait to try more recipies. Most of them call for that Liquid Aminos stuff though and I haven't ordered that yet.
(btw... i even made it with the fettuchini "noodles" because I don't have a saladocco yet...turned out just fine)

That's way cool! I too love the Angel Hair pasta and her marinara. My die-hard (good name eh?) meat and potato son-in-law absolutely loved it. Even cold from the fridge the next day!
As far as Braggs goes? That is not a truly raw product. Yes, Alissa uses it in her book, but I think even she has gone to Nama Shoyu (Nama meaning raw), which is a soy-type sauce that is fermented, not processed.
I use Braggs. I like it. I also use Nama Shoyu. I like that too. I think it's a personal preference. I use so little of it that 100% of my meals are raw and that teeny tiny little bit isn't going to break me. It's your call. Do a search and you'll see a ton of info on Braggs.
But that is very cool how excited you are! It just gets better and better!!!

Alissa's recipes are super. Try the Pesto Mushrooms - you won't be disappointed!
