I've been eating raw for about 1 1/2 months now. Not 100%, but very close. Anyway, I usually feel great, but I've noticed that every morning I'm waking up with mucusy gunk around my eyes and feel very mucusy in my sinuses. Is this part of detox?

Oh yeah. I'd bet it is. Be sure to drink lots of water to help flush that gunk out. Green smoothies too.
Try not to swallow any mucus, if you can, spit it out, blow it out, wipe it off, you don't need to re-enter that into your body.

Mucus is a sign of inflammation,...and a means of detoxification the body uses when the bowels cant be moved or the skin pores are already being used as a detox organism to their full capability.
Inflammation is caused by acidic food like nuts and rice and soy and cooked heavy food.
If you feel you need to detox, I would recommend a colonic.

lungs
sweat
urine
feces
secretions from nose, eyes, ears and throat
emotions
it most definetly is - I woke up with "crusty" (yum - I know), sticky eyes for the first three months of going raw - and now that I have been on a minor cleansing veggie-fast for three days I can feel it a bit again - just let it pass.

Sounds like detox to me, and it's a good sign that your body is in the process of purifying itself. In my own case, the opposite occurred, where my right eye, which had been discharging 'stuff' for the previous few months while on a high raw diet, all of a sudden stopped doing this once I made the transition to completely raw. I attribute this to having taken wheatgrass juice for some months prior to making the switch. On more than one occasion, wheatgrass induced some terribly nausea and intense vomiting in me, which I reckon was my body's way of getting rid of some pharmaceutical substances I had been shortsighted enough to take a few months earlier, in a desperate attempt to control my emotions.
By the way, and this is for the administrators, I used to have an avatar of a talking orange next to my name, and now it is no longer there. Now another poster (texasgirl) is using what was originally my avatar. What gives????
