the lentil soup recipe from Juliano's Raw book is excellent! even my 15 year old brother (who lives on ramen and nacho's) loved it and asked me to make it several more times!

I've got sprouted lentils, water and Juliano's book (if I can find it around here somewhere since it seldom gets any use). Oh my sprouted lentils, let me brag, are beautiful and tasty. They were the green organic ones I sproute out of the bins too, not specifically set up for sprouting.

Coming up will be someone asking for the recipe, but I'm not asking yet. I can wait. I need to find out what else I can use my lentils for (I think I read chili recipes). Thanks for sharing what you love!

Will the lentils you get at the grocery store sprout?

Mine came from health food store, but not specifically labelled for sprouting either. I don't know about grocery store purchase. They really sprout super fast compared to my alfalfa seeds which I thought would work faster, but maybe the alfalfa was too old. Ready for new batch since others used up.

Tonight bringing to rawluck plate of wheatberrie sprouts (I hate taste/smell, but will still make for wheatgrass if I can get myself doing it or outside in garden area), lentils and a batch of alfalfas, topped with purple cabbage slivers for color plus separated the three kinds with zucchini and carrot sticks. Hope they clean me out of my plate. The other sprouts are great.

Thanks for the tip, rande... I've been wanting to try some raw soups but scared I'm not going to like them, LOL. I have Juliano's book out from the library so I'll look it up today... Thanks! :)
