What did you eat when it occured? Something spicy? Something highly acidic (lemon, pineapple, kiwi)?

You know, I had that for about 3 days last week, during my flu episode. I wondered if it was related to that? Anyway, it's gone now. It felt like I had burned my tongue on hot food or something. Weird, huh?

I get this if I eat too much pineapple, and to a lesser extent, oranges and other citrus.
Maybe look at what you have been eating, as rawkinlocs mentioned. I only get this if I overdose on high acid fruits. Probably not a good thing to do! It goes away for me about a day after I stop ODing on the culprit.

Nope, mine wasn't related to diet. Didn't do anything different. I'm pretty sure it had to do with the bug I had.:D

I wonder if we are talking about the same type of ailment? For me it's also like I've burnt my tongue on something hot, and it feels yuk to roll my tongue.

Um... time?
Works for me anyway. Perhaps some soothing foods such as avocado and nutmilks? How are you feeling otherwise? Healthy?

Its all about detox. Your tongue and eyes are the windows to the rest of us. It means your healing.:)

A sore, burning tongue is usually a sign of a vitamin deficiency. Most likely a B vitamin, especially B12 or even a zinc deficiency. Sprouts contain alot of B vitamins, and zinc can be found in pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts and peas.
Another good reason to eat some sprouts everday!

How amazing that this thread should come up. I just experienced about four days of 'tongue issues', only in my case I think it was due to the fact that I suddenly left the raw diet and went on the Atkins diet for three days. I got constipated, depressed, and my tongue got all these bumps and red patches and looked like it was peeling on one side. Scary, I thought I had tongue cancer or something. But now that I am back to raw for three days, it is all starting to go away. Our bodies definitely change and don't react the same ways they used to once we start getting them clean inside.

I have had this before, too. It goes away after a few days. I remember my tongue felt swollen, sore, and irritated, and it kinda scared me, lOL!
BUt then it went away.
