Hello from sunny California. My name is Jennifer and I am 5'3" and 190 lbs. I am xcited that I found this site and am anxious to embark on something that calls to me. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I did not know I could find an entire support system.
I am diabeticII controling with diet and exercise. I am concerned about regulating my sugar level.
I am fearful that I will not find the support at home with a meat and potato 410 pound 6' husband. I plan to set the example.
I am thrilled to be here and meet everyone.

Welcome! You're so courageous to embark on this journey! Hang in there if detoxing gets rough. You'll get spit out of the othe end of the tunnel into the Light. I promise! I went back and forth with Raw a lot and feel really good and secure with it now, and turning to this forum over and over again kept nurturing me to a better place. We're here for you! Bless you

Thank you. I am trying. THe first two days were great and then a headache. I gave in and ate sugar and went back to the beginning of the game.
Today I try again. I have a new goal. 30 days straight raw and then I am going to a raw restaurant in town that I did not even know existed. I am so looking forward to it. MY hubby said he would be brave and go too - that is even better.
I love the ideas, support and great people I have met thanks to all.

NO better time to lead by example than now. I am still excited and envigorated. I just feel free and light and empowered. and this time not from a sugar high.
I do not think I could follow the path in front of me without the new found support of everyone. I know I must take the steps on my own but I need not feel lost and alone during the journey.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Welcome! You’ve already gotten your husband to agree to go to a raw restaurant. That’s fabulous. You’re halfway home. Now start handing him fruit smoothies while he’s watching TV and before you know it he’ll be raw too!

My husband agreed 27 years ago that we could live vegitarian in the home (he wanted to marry me), but he could eat meat outside the home. I agreed to have two children. I have been working on raw for a couple of weeks, Vegan before that, and I find that when I take him yummy things, he eats them. He likes them, and then ASKS for them. I am working on making thing that are raw for me and my 26 y/o son, that can easily be worked into a meal for him as well, so it isn't so much work on me. Also an encouragement. I lost 135 lbs about 10 years ago. It CAN be done. Email me anytime if you want encouragement. I live in Wa state.

I started the day grat fixing recipies, tidy the house a great sunny Saturday.
By 2 I was so sick. I do ot know if it is detox or just something passing through.
Runny nose, sick tummy, digestive upset, - I slept as much as I could - which I never nap during the day. Oh and stomach cramps - holy cow.
I hope it is detox and done.
I was ready to hrow out all thefood in my house and never eat again. I knew it was crazy talk.
I am still with the plan.
Don't mean to whine but i was really sick.
It was scary but okay now.
I am ready to keep it simple today and eat slow - green shake for breakfast so far.
