Okay, I am so perplexed over how long things last after they are prepared. And also trying to figure out the best way to store it. I am always making way more than we can finish in this house so obviously I need to cut the recipes back but I can only do that after I try it once to see how it comes out. We have the orange dressing that has been in our fridge for 2 weeks - is it still good? What about the pizza bread that we made two weeks ago? We have had it in the fridge in a ziploc with wax paper (my husband's idea). How about the swiss cheese that I have had in an airtight container and the pesto butter that has also been in an airtight container? We have all of these things left because we all came down with the flu and didn't eat for a week. Then when we began eating again I couldn't stomach the idea of any of that stuff since I had gotten sick while making it. The bottom line - where can I get some general advice on storage without having to ask about every individual item that I make?

Thanks in advance!

The SAME Rules apply..and even MORE So. The Refridgerator life can be short. That is why some of us don't do a lot of Recipes, just keep it Simple and use Fresh Fruit and Vegetables in their Natural State......

You will have to taste them individually to see if they still taste right. However, a lot of the recipes stay longer than you might think. I make a raspberry vinegarette dressing and it stays good for two weeks or more. However I usually end up finishing it before it can stay in the refrigerator too long. You can also freeze some recipes as well. I am the only one eating raw in my family so unfortunately I do have to throw away some stuff just because I am tired of it and the recipes are sometimes too large for one person. I am making a raw pizza right now and wonder about the same thing cause its a big pizza.
