It all depends on how much damage you have done to your body...
It will depend on factors like:
-Your age
-Your current diet: standard meat eater? vegetarian? vegan?
-Drug/alcohol use
-Medications (prescription, over the counter)
-Exercise habits
-Exposure to chemicals
-Beauty products used
...etc.
Detox is very different for everyone! But it's a wonderful thing! :)

It varies widely, even for the same person. I've had something very much like a cold; a thick coating and dark patches on the tongue; and junk coming out of the pores of my skin, which I had to wash off frequently.

If you were living a very destructive lifestyle? Detox will be rough in proportion to how radically/healthily/quickly you make the change. My opinion is that you should regulate your own detox by eating heavier or healthier transitional cooked foods until you are comfortable and your body adjusts. If you are very comfortable you can always speed up your detxox through light eating of simple staples of fruits and vegetables......or light fasting....along with sunlight....fresh air....and pure water...and joy. :)

The only form of detox I have experienced is a severe headace for days from caffine withdrawl. And then about 4 months into raw I had a rash of breakouts that now seem to be back under control again. And I ate very poorly before going Raw. If I ate a piece of fruit in the whole month before that would have been good for me. But everyone is different. You won't know until you start. I wouldn't let it hinder you though. Remember if you do have detox symptoms it will only be temporary and good health will follow. I now have more energy and life than I used to and feel more vibrant and alive!

I agree with what DavidZaneMason says. It's hard for us or anyone really to tell you what you are going to experience. You may not have bad detox at all. I would jump into raw and let it go. Not worry about it. Enjoy how well you will feel in a short amount of time.
