I was too tired to cold-cook last night, so we went to Karyn's for dinner. Split the raw lasagna and whoa! Too much! I ate about a 1.5" x 1" square and it did me in. I'm just so deconditioned when it comes to stuff with salt and alot of garlic these days, It was so dense. I just wanted to toss it and get a handful of grapes, or have a big giant cucumber salad.

Mind you, when I first had it, I thought that dish was God's gift to raw foodists...

Then the raw ice cream was good...but I really would have preferred something lighter. I barely even recognize myself and my tastebuds anymore.lol!

Gives me renewed respect for the plasticity of our perceptions.

I agree! I was at Karyns two weeks ago for the Sunday Brunch and while it was all very beautiful and tasty as well............it was way to much for where my tastebuds are! The Lasagna was great but I could only eat a bite or two. It was the same with most everything else, (well except the mushrooms, I ate quite a few of those)! I do love the ice cream as well!

I stopped making raw lasagnas because they are too concentrated for my taste. Same with pates, burgers, etc. Can't do them anymore.

Oooooooo, they have a Sunday Brunch ... I have been trying to plan a trip to Chicago with some friends and now I know we will have to be there on a Sunday to check this out!

I am tempted when I see all those beautiful pictures and plan on making a few things, but most of my foods are very plain and simple. I have even gotten to the point eating much less for some reason but at our rawlucks its my time to taste everything I naturally don't make here.

What are the lasagna ingredients? Bet lots of nuts? Would love just one bite but no plans on Chicago bound here. Thanks for sharing. So you all live close by to meet for your own rawlucks then.
