how much weight loss do you have?
are you still losing weight, and how much do you lose?
any other benefits or fall backs you would like to share?:o
I consider myself "high raw" although sometimes I am 100%. I'd say depending upon the day and time of year, I am between 66% and 100% - mostly between 75% and 90%. I no longer eat any animal products, but sometimes have steamed veggies. Alissa recommends 100%.
My main reason for going raw was to get rid of my asthma, not to lose weight. Thanks to my diet change, I am completely off all of my asthma meds.
My fallbacks is that last year I did allow myself cheese once a month. Last time I tried this, I threw up all night and now I no longer want to touch the stuff. So this is a good thing for me, as my body has told me it no longer wants it. So I am 100% vegan, but not 100% raw.

I've been "high raw" (as described in other thread) for 2 months now. I've gone from a size 16 to a size 10. I don't use a scale, so no idea what sort of lbs that equals.
are you still losing weight, and how much do you lose?
Yep. little by little. Not sure how much - just notice when things fit differently.

not sure what you mean... and don't want to go off on the non-100% diet on Alissa's board...

Oh, oh! I gotcha. Sorry... slow today.
My skin is clearer and softer than it has ever been. My eyes are clear and shining. My energy levels are greatly elevated.

Yes I am so very happy. I have tried so many things in the past to get rid of my asthma. Diet was the key for me. Many other things went away as well. My allergies to cats, digestion issues, etc.

I have a friend who experienced the same thing. He had an allergy to cats and was lactose-intolerant. he is mostly raw now but still drinks milk on occasion and goes through a lot of cleanses and has lost a lot of weight.
its nice to hear about allergies going away. im hoping to experience more of that.
but since i quit drinking coffee, i noticeably do not get cystic acne anymore. my skin is clearing up and im starting to feel somewhat cleaner on the inside.
gone are the days of nasty stomach aches from overeating and eating the wrong foods. THats what i love the most about this lifestyle. I never could understand why i gorged myself sick thinking i was getting a "treat" only to feel sick and stuffed afterwards and to have to unbutton my pants. its just so unhealthy, that is such a horrible feeling.
now i am honoring my body and self even more everyday.
cant wait to make some more fresh juice when i get home tonight!!!:D

i have been almost 100% since december and i dropped 5 pounds right away. i just feel better and wanted to go raw for overall health, why eat any other way? i also have melasma, its not bad but it drives me crazy. II wanted to see if raw would help that at all. The only way to get rid of it is w/ bleaching creams and treatments, i do not want to use those. i have noticed a change in my skin clarity and it seems the melasma has faded a little..... so i will keep you all posted. I do feel better when i dont food combine too much and i have been doing that a lot lately so i want to fast and then try to watch what i am combining. I know that helps greatly w/ weight lose as well

Hi
I have no idea what percentage I "am", some days I eat only raw foods, and other days (like these part three) I have cooked vegan food.
I feel better when I'm more raw, but I haven't noticed any change in weight. I'm not overweight, though, so that might be why.
Anyways, I try to not focus on loosing weight or inches, because I feel the oute physical body is so much in focus everywhere else. I find raw to be the most harmonious way to eat, close to nature and close to what my inner body needs. If I gain or loose weight is ofcourse something that affects me, but not what helps me in the long run. Feeling good on the inside is so much better.
I'm sorry if I give a lecture :o , but I can't stop thining about how important it is to shift focus away from apperance, and go for inner well-being instead.

how much weight loss do you have?
Not really sure as I don't own scales, probably all up about 10-15 pounds from the start of going high raw (over a year ago) (sorry, I'm a metric person, I think this would be right).
Losing weight was only part of the reason for going high raw, probably a middle priority, I wasn't unhappy with my weight.
are you still losing weight, and how much do you lose?
Gradually yes, my last 100% raw stint (which officially ended yesterday) saw even more of it fly off, I've lost heaps of weight. I usually keep off most of it on high raw, so I'm getting thinner and thinner, but am still healthy. I have to get used to the fact that I've probably not been at my ideal weight for all my life (like most people), but had a healthy body mass index and looked fine in the mirror to myself. I like the new thinner me, I'm healthy and thats what matters.
But it's a bit annoying when hardly any of your clothes fit anymore!

How much time do you have!
On high raw:
clearer, smoother, softer skin all over my body, less acne, less puffy face, happier outlook, heaps more energy, hair shiny, eyes clearer, flatter tummy, less sleep needed, clearer thoughts, younger looking, less digestive problems, a feeling of being really 'light' etc. etc.
On 100%
all the above, plus instant waking up, even clearer whites of the eyes, more energy, feeling even 'lighter', and the acne almost completely goes away.
The trade off is not being isaolated from friedns and family, I think as raw becomes more mainstream, I'll be able to eat out at restaraunts and have raw, and the cooked part will diminish even further.
For now, as I consider socialising part of a healthy lifestyle, and I enjoy cooked foods (in moderation), I'm happy to trade the pinnacle of health, for something just a little less healthy but none the less HEAPS better than the average diet, even the 'healthy' ones.

I have lost 2lbs since eating raw. I started at 118 lbs down to 116 lbs.
I really do not need to lose any more weight, so I hope not.
My skin looks so much better and my stomach is flatter.
I am still hungry a lot. I use to eat on a schedule and now I eat all the time. Also I am physically weaker these days and find myself tired a lot.
16 days mostly raw!
