So Delightedly Raw
03-06-2007, 06:44 PM
Hi, Iím having a ball! I have NEVER felt so good, and Iím staying 100% raw now. Iíve got so much energy at the gym! And for life!
I have Allissaís book and DVD, and lots of food that I haven't prepared yet! Live in the Boston area: have grandchildren: I've been 95% raw for 3 weeks;
Sunday I started my first week of 100% raw.
At home I have no moral support, so I love reading this forum. My daughter, by long distance, is certain that I will get sick, as is my physiologist husband. Iím not listening to their ideas about what I should eat; only I know how I feel, right?

Hey there! Welcome! Love the avatar - you don't look old enough to have grandchildren! LOL! I have five! All from my daughter!!! 4 boys/1 girl - finally!!!
Once your glow comes out and your energy abounds even more then you've already experienced, yes, you'll have even more, family will know you are doing what is right for you and your body.
It just makes sense to eat healthy, raw, living foods. Not foods that have had the life cooked out of them.
Your family will come around. You should WOW them with some foods, like RPs brownies, or Alissa's Angel Hair Pasta and marinara sauce. My son-in-law is a die-hard (good name, huh), meat and potato guy and love the pasta and sauce. LOVED IT! Ate it cold from the fridge the next day!
Come visit here often. You will get loads of support.
Yes, you will detox, but that's not being sick and don't let them (fam) fool you that it is.
We'll help you honey!!!
WOO HOO! for you!!!!

Warm Welcome to You!
Glad to have you with us. I am participating in the March 30 day challenge and find this forum extremely helpful to check in with, since I have no one anywhere near raw in my life. Like you, I find that reading the posts here is great for support.
I live in Western Massachusetts part-time. I am in freezing cold Northern NY right now, though.:(
One day, later this Spring, I would love to go with other Massachusetts (and NH folks) to the raw restaurant in Beverly, Mass for a road trip.
Actually, in the Boston area, I believe you are fortunate enough to have monthly raw pot lucks, as well.
Best of luck on your journey, and keep taking good care of yourself!
