. . . I am ping-ponging between these two. Would appreciate hearing of anyone's experience with either. I'm wanting to do some daily green juicing, along with fruits. Hoping the one juicer will handle both. Please excuse if this has been addressed before - thanks!

I have Omega 8005 and use it for juicing fruits and greens, making nut butters and ice cream. I really love it.

Here's a link I found that has some great info: http://www.discountjuicers.com/lowrpmjuicers.html

I don't see the solar star but there are comparisons for a bunch of other juicers.

eta: did you mean solo star? By the chart the solo star looks better if you will be juicing carrots (see the chart) It seems that most of these Single Auger juicers aren't built to juice a whole lot of fruit but it says that the solo star handles them better than others, that seems like the only difference other than the size. The omega has a longer warranty if that matters to you. They recommend that you mix up the juicing when mixing fruits and greens. Juice some fruit, then some greens etc...

Oops! Thanks Ama -I intended to type "solo star" - the sun must've been in my eyes :D

I appreciate everyone's responses; I'm leaning toward the Omega.

My best friend had the Omega and had a lot of problems with it. Kept having to have it resent back to the manufacturer to get it fixed . This was 4 yrs. ago tho...and maybe it was just a lemon.????
I love my Green Star.
