For the last couple of weeks I have been eating cooked foods. I have to say I have not felt very good since it started. I have had indigestion, gas, headaches, back pain and stiff joints. My blood pressure has started to rise again.
Tonight I finally went to the store and restocked my raw food supply. I have been back on raw food for about half a day. I already feel a lot better after only a few hours.
Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the desire to eat cooked foods. I am sure that with time I will overcome this. Anybody got any tips? My mind is made up. I will live raw for life. I have never felt as good as I do when eating raw.

Heya Tony!
Great to see you come back........always know that [while] you are struggling and having these urges, please share with us. Sometimes hsaring can help us manevuer past these cravings. Another suggestion would be to pace yourself and add as much raw as you can and if you find yourself eating cooked every now and then, it's better than doing the "on and off" raw path. That can really mess your digestive health.
KEEP GOING YOU'RE DOING FABULOURS!:)

I am trying, but, the moment I eat something cooked it's like eating poison. I would like to do 100% raw. It just feels better.

I stay raw by being prepared. I always find time during my day to plan out what I want to eat that night or what I will eat the next day. And I get excited about it!
Thinking about how you want to feel works too. I have a weight goal of 130 lbs. I tell myself that I already weigh 130, and I focus on how good I feel at that weight. This little lie gives me a lot of motivation as well and I want to stay on track!

I know how hard this can be, as the cravings come upon us.
Just know that you aren't alone, and eventually the cravins will cease.
Trust me on this.
Cravings start to go at about 2 weeks, after two months, they are pretty much gone, if you are 100% raw.
they will come back if you have even a bit of cooked, as that is what has happened to me over and over again.
A bite of salad at a party, with a bit of bottled dressing, a taste of something.

I would go further than one day at a time and say take it one meal at a time. Every time you eat you have an opportunity to make the best food decision. Positive self talk works well for me and reminding myself how bad I will feel after! Also ditto to being prepared and having enough food! I still keep making that mistake by not bringing enough food with me to work! Ugh! I am slowly getting better as I realize if I buy too much fruit for the week I can just freeze it, and if I buy too many vegetables, more than likely I can juice them! This board is here for support so keep posting!
