Hi all, I am wondering: is a Vitamax-kind of blender necesarry for excellent all kinds of sophisticated (green) smoothies, and I mean for smoothies with:

- kale, spinach,

nicely and "smoothly" blended;

- blended frozen fruits

- anything else you demand/can make up

or is a good blender with a capicity of, let's say 600 Watt, alright?
I don't want to chew not nicely blended particles.

Many thanks. LL ;)

Well, I've already "killed" two Black & Deckers. I'm on my third. :D

Two Black & Deckers? Killed with your head? Wow.
You better walk with your head against the wall (see other thread...)

Kidding: what was the power of the Black & Deckers, and what did you prepare with them?

I think if you want excellent smoothies, Vitamix is important. I have made smoothies from non-vitamix blenders, and the texture just is not as tasty. The ones made from Vitamix taste exactly like those bought from Jumba Juice.
