Alissa's book and DVD are finally here!!

And that book is MASSIVE!!!!

We had gone to Louisiana for the weekend and so I was very worried it would be sitting there on my doorstep all weekend long.

I couldn't even imagine what all it contains. The only problem now is I have to finish my work before I can even get to that book! :rolleyes:

Guess I need to finish instead of playing around on these forums huh??:eek:

If it weren't for getting those two items I never would have been able to go raw. She makes it so easy.

I don't know why I had been putting off buying this book for so long. It is like the bible for the RAW lifestyle!
The book is beautiful! I can't wait to try everything. I've already got my highliter and flags handy. I love the fact that she left room in the margines for our own notes. And its not regular paper...its the niiiiice paper! shiny!!

I am just sooo happy I finally got this combo. I think I'll start watching the DVD's tomorrow. I just can't put this book down!

Oh I LOVE her book and DVD, changed my life!!!

the FIRST thing I did was watch the DVD in it's entirety, soooo great to finally MEET Alissa, then I started reading the book, and just couldn't put it down, stayed up all night, and then the next day too, just reading.

It is GREAT~!!!

I just know you'll love it.

then it got so covered in food, as I used it to make so many wonderful recipes, that I bought a second copy just to read, then I bought my son a copy.

We keep trying to tell folks how great it is. I mean come on! Would Alissa publish a quality masterpiece? Of course she would! I highlighted a lot in the book so I can refer back to it quickly. And the DVD is very informative, watching Alissa in action and hearing her say some of the things that are in the book.
I have just about every raw book out there and hands down - Alissa's is THE BEST!

Now this book is great. it's divided into 2 parts; it covers the basics, has testimonials with some before and after pictures, her own "blog", PICTURES OF THE DISHES (that BTW my BF was like..."heeeeey...what iiiiis that and when will you make it???!"), and of course the recipies.
It's like a blueprint of everything and anything RAW.
I'm very impressed with how she presented everything and how each chapter flows into the next. i like that she left large margines so as to let me write my own notes...i'm also impressed with the quality of the book.
When i got my package yesterday, I was surprised with how heavy it was and freaked out when i saw the size of it.
This book contains ALOT of information and although i know i need to read it front to back, I find myself jumping from one chapter to another (i needed to know the sprouting stuff last night)...sorry can't help it!!
I think I read somewhere on the forums that Alissa is in the process of doing another book. I can't begin to imagine what all she's left out since this book is loaded with info.
I started watching the DVD's but my BF was already giving me the "maaaan...i wannawatchmymanlytv" so i guess i'll continue on with that tonite...
BTW that durian fruit...oh my gawd...just seeing her opening it made my skin crawl...but i've heard nothing but good stuff about it. i must find one now!!!
