I got some from my HFS a couple of weeks ago. I used to love Tahini but that was when it was made from roasted sesame seeds when I wasn't raw. This one tastes terribly bitter. I really want to make humus and am nearing the end of sprouting chickpeas but I dont want to ruin it....any advice?

Much lovexxx

I find it bitter too..but once it'sblended into something else, it mellows considerably. If you need to cut the bitterness add either a touch of sweetness or tanginess ala lemon, or curry, etc. I have found that in dressings, once I add a touch of almond milk it cuts the bitterness too. Same should work in your hummus.

Mmmm....sounds good. better eat lunch b4 my client gets here.:p

Ah, that helps a lot. Thank you hypocmt!!:)
