Is my blog private if it says I've got views?

I want my blog to be only read by me, so I select "private" before I submit it, but when I look at the list of newest journal entries for the day, my shows that it has "views" on it? How can this be if it's private blog entry?

Sweet Papaya,

I can view it, but I believe this is because I'm a moderator. But I also tried to log in under my friend's account and I was NOT able to view it, so I think maybe it may be recording attempted views unless it's counting when you are blogging...not sure. When our Admin gets back from vacation, maybe he can address why you're seeing the blog view count rise.

It shows up as private for me, I can't click on it.

When you view your own blog it counts it as a view.
