Hello, I'm 28 and a brandnew fledgling Raw Foodie. I have been vegetarian for 5 years and this seems like the next logical step to Optimum health. Just looking for a bit of support and some new friends. You can never have too many friends:cool:

Welcome! Do you have Alissa's book? Excellent source of information and recipes. I think it's the best raw food book out there.
Also - get into green smoothies. They are wonderful accompaniments to a raw food diet. It took me a while to "try" them, thinking they tasted green, which is okay, but maybe not in a drink, but I love them. I have one daily!
Search and you will find answers to alot of your questions. I have learned so much from here.

I am in Dexter, New York 30 minutes from Ganinaque/Prescott, ON....How far are you from there? We go to Ottawa occasionally...It's about 1 1/2 hours away from us....Anyone in the neighborhood?:) Jedi?

Oh this is great! I also found a Raw food Meetup in my city! I am excited! IF I can stay raw for a year I'm going to award myself by going backpacking in Europe. I went before in 2000 and it was awesome! Anyone want to join me? :)

NFrawRUNNER, I think I'm only maybe an hour from you. :) I live about a half hour or so from the NY state border. I'm a runner too! (though I've been slacking since I'm detoxing and really tired. :( I really miss it though.

Kitchener is about 2 and a bit hours from Buffalo and 40 mins west of Toronto. I went to the Wild Organic Way on Sunday... YUMMMMMMMMMM

I was there yesterday to pick up some desserts for my non Raw family lol. Thel loved them, although my mom insisted on putting milk in the apple crumble :rolleyes:
