Hi I have order Living on Live Foods, by Alissa can't wait to get it. But I would like know if anyone has any other suggestions for Video or DVD about the Raw food lifestyle. I am not really looking for a video on food prep. But more on learning about the raw food. Does anyone know of Viktoras Kulvinskas or David Wolfe, any suggestion would be appreciated. Oh one more thing, like I said I order Alissa DVD set, should I get the book or does the DVD tell everything about the book? If that makes sence. Thanks again

Alissa's DVD is meant to be an accompaniment to the book. The book has a TON of information in it along with the recipes - the dvd is showing Alissa in the kitchen with two other women talking with them about the raw diet as she prepares some of her recipes from the book. But without the book, you won't have the ingredients, the actual recipes, and a whole HOST of other information! So, you'll definitely want to get the book too!

Hi there! If you are asking as to which would be "better" to get - Alissa's book OR DVD? I would definitely get the book. It is jammed packed with info regarding the raw lifestyle including testimonials and tons of recipes.
As far as any others, there is a wealth of info out "there" (in cyber space) or your local library.
Green Smoothies - Victoria Boutenko's book, "Green for Life" - tells about the wonderful benefits of incorporating green smoothies into your diet.
To understand the ENTIRE aspect of raw in a more "scientific" way - I would suggest Gabriel Cousens book, "Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine".
There are other authors to become familiar with - Ann Wigmore, who was a raw foodist pioneer and the benefits of wheatgrass.
Also searching here there is a plethera of information at your fingertips.
Good luck on your new journey!

On Storm and Jinjee's website you can order a video called EATING.
Highly recommended. I wish Alissa would sell it.

I second the recommendation for the Eating video. It doesn't promote a raw diet, but it does promote a whole food vegan diet. It would be great to help convince SAD eating friends and family members to go vegan. It is pretty inexpensive and they (www.ravediet.com) give you a price break for buying multiple copies. I liked it so much that I bought five copies to give to families and friends. You can get it at www.ravediet.com
Dr. Douglas Graham has a DVD set out about eating raw that is VERY good, but pretty pricey. His website is www.foodnsport.com but it is down right now. It should be back up soon.
All the best,
Audrey

Mysticalwoman,
I have a recently re-discovered set of CDs recorded in the mid 80s by TC Fry which is very instructional and insightful, and in TC's own simple, down to earth way of explaining health and disease. Here's the link: http://www.rawschool.com/cds.htm
I also have several copies of Loren Lockman's "Creating Perfect Health" videos on VHS that I'm selling very cheaply. Loren has a great presentation style too, and makes the information seem very reasonable and irrefutable. I once loaned a copy to a friend and he went raw overnight.
Please feel free to contact me privately if you have questions.
Best wishes,
Nora
