View Full Version : 7 weeks raw- 50% of the pain is gone
Good news:
I started being raw to get rid of my menstruationcramps. This time I could cut down the medication to about half the amount since the cramps lasted for one day instead of two! I hope it continues this way! I was hoping all would be gone by now but I guess it takes some time to heal. Iīve tried to eat lighter or Juice fast to speed up the cleansing, but itīs difficult when youīre in transition- I seem to need the heavy stuff(nuts, avocado etc.). After a few hours of fasting I am soooo hungry and start to long for zuchinipasta with onionbread. :o
But this is great enough, isnīt it!:)

Wow, you all. Great testimonies. Keep them rolling in. I'm excited to celebrate your victories....even one little bit at a time is a victory to me.
I wish I could grow back teeth as that is the only challenge right now I know of.

Mona,
Good for you on reducing your pain...its so nice to find out what works for you.
I just wanted to mention that a friend of mine (who is not a raw fooder) used to have unbelievable menstrual pain, to the point where she would be vomitting at work and just sitting in the tub (in ice cold water) to take away the pain. She was a wreck for at least 1-2 days per month.
After a while she decided that she would take pain killers the second she knew her period started and continute to take them every 2 hours - this helped some, but she hated taking all the meds...so...she then figured out something so that now, she doesn't have to take ANY drugs because she has very little pain.
She figured out that her digestion got totally messed up once her period started. She now either eats light foods like fruits, veggies, or if she wants to eat something more complex and dense, she just makes sure she follows good food combining (she is still on a SAD diet)...so if she is having a dense carb, she will not then have meat, or she will eat fruit on an empty stomach, or just have a vegan protein shake in place of when she might otherwise eat pizza or something else like that. She doesn't fast or starve herself she just found a way of eating that really helped with the pain (and more water).
Don't know if this info will help you, but just wanted to share this.
