hi, not sure if this is the right forum, but i just wanted to know if you have found that the skin around the face and neck gets tighter with carrying on raw? i have lost weight, and i now have a chin and better jawline, but i feel that my face still is not thin enough and my neck still looks flabby, will this go? will the skin tighten?

sorry for dumb question, but i really want to lose the fat on my face.

best wishes

I think there are a lot of variables like your age and how much weight you've lost. If you are older and/or have lost a lot of weight, your skin may never be as tight as you might like it to be.

This tones the whole face, you could spend more time on the bits that focus on the neck and chin area. I use frankincense, myrrh, carrot seed and lavender essential oils in a base of pure rosehip oil for this.

Forehead
Stretch neck by bending head back and hold for a few seconds with eyes wide and eyebrows raised.
Bring head to upright position, place index fingers side by side on bridge of nose and stroke upwards and outwards from brow to forehead. Every few strokes, bring fingers all the way to temple and press for count of three. Repeat several times. Using palms, stroke upwards across forehead.

Eyes
Place index fingers at outer corners of eyes, press gently. Move across under eye, pressing gently on the bone for two seconds. Repeat, moving across until you reach tear ducts. Use very light pressure. Repeat above eyes along browbone. After each press, lift fingers from skin, do not drag. Place heels of hand over closed eyes, gently hold for count of 20, do not press. Shut eyes tightly, hold for count of five, then open them wide and roll eyeballs slowly in a circle three times, first anti clockwise, then clockwise.

Jawline
Stretch neck by bending head to one side, hold for a few seconds, repeat other side. Holding head upright, use backs of fingertips to stroke from collarbone to chin, moving across the width of the neck and back several times. Then use backs of fingertips to flick from under the chin away from body in a quick, drumming motion across chin from ear to ear. Gently pinch along jawbone from middle of chin to earlobes, and back to middle of chin.

Mouth
Open mouth wide and relax jaw, move chin to the left, hold for a few seconds and move chin to right, hold for a few seconds. Place tips of little fingers on the middle of lower lip, press in and hold for a second or two, release. Move fingers out a little and repeat, gradually moving toward the corners of the mouth, then up and around toward the middle of the top lip under the nose. Repeat as a light stroke, several times.

Cheeks
Palm stroke the cheeks in a light upward motion, this stimulates circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to your skin. Repeat using a firm stroke (do not stretch skin). Gently use fingertips of all fingers to drum/tap all over face. To finish, place the palms of the hands over the face and hold for a minute or two.

I have read on other raw sites pertaining to massive weight loss - that the skin does tighten back up but they give a time period of 2 years.

I've lost 85 pounds, so far, and yes my skin isn't as tight as it used to be, but I look so much better, and it is getting tighter each day.

I've been at this same weight for a while, as I've been going off and on 100% raw for the past few months, LOTS of emotional turmoil in my life, so --- of course, --- I keep going back to my cooked food addiction,

alas, I WILL succeed again!!!

but the answer to your question, is YES, it tightens up

Sorry to hear that you're having emotional turmoil... you will prevail - keep the chin up :)

I juice lots of cucumbers to tighten my skin. When I went raw and lost almost 100 pounds, my skin stayed tight. I had two big glasses of fresh organic cucumber juice every day.
