I had someone to ask me if you get greens from hemp seeds or greens if it is a "complete" protein. what do I say? What the heck is a "complete" protien? Also, I told someone yesterday that the human body does not need grains, and they asked me why do people eat them if we do not need them? I told them it probably has alot to do with the "money" industry. Kellog and others in the money making biz taut grains because that is where their profit margin comes from.

a complete protein has all 8 of the essential amino acids the body cant produce. hempseed, pumpkin, flax, goji, bee pollen, spirulina, algaue, are all complete proteins and then some.

The "Complete" protein thing is a myth. The woman (forgot her name) who wrote that book later on made a retraction.

The "Complete Protein thing" is not a myth. What is a "myth" is the need to combine two incomplete proteins in the same meal. It is important to consume all 8 essential amino acids in sufficient quantities throughout the day.
"Essential Amino Acids", as stated, are those 8 that the body can not synthesize in sufficient quantities on it's own. The other 9 are non-essential because the body can make them out of other "ingredients".

Quinoa contains all of the essential amino acids, protein of a better quality than meat, four times as much calcium as wheat, iron, B vitamins and vitamin E, it's also rich in essential fats. It's not a grain, as many people think, it is a seed.
I sprout it, although you have to rinse it very well to remove the bitter saponin coating. Soaking, then rinsing a few times is best. I've used it in salads, sprouted quinoa tabouleh, and I'm going to try out some breads and crackers with it now that I have my dehydrator. I'm thinking pizza base.....

I guess that's what I was thinking about, but just didn't word it that way. Sorry.
