A couple of years ago I bought the Saladacco (that little gadget that turns hard round veggies/fruits into noodles), and my success with it was never predictable.
Well, yesterday zucchini was on sale and I thought, "it's been a while since I had those noodles". Well, every single zucchini I put in there turned into beautiful angel hair noodles! I think all that time ago it must have been operator error! :D

I have had a lot of operator error with my Saladacco! Sometimes the "noodles" turn out perfect and other times not. I still don't seem to have the technique down!

My juicer (Omega) has noodle attachments, but I wasn't sure if it could handle zuchini or if it was just for soft dough. Is this the same thing? Can I do this too?

Here is the link to show you how to use it perfectly! Don't forget that the little knob on the side will help change from angel hair to ribbons!

Ariannah, a lot of people seem to find it tricky. So it's not just you! :)
I don't have one, I have this green Japanese model thingee that makes angel hair pasta and it works pretty good. Hmmm... I haven't made "pasta" in a while... Time to whip that baby out again, I think!

heh, yeah, I remember that link, too. I bookmarked it. Even following those instructions, it's entirely by feel and once you get the "knack", it's great!

Does anyone know how to get one of those saladacco's to canada?? For some reason we don't have them here (or that I can find anyway without paying shipping as much as the gadget itself)
Thanks!

I live in Canada - I bought mine from Alissa's site. The shipping cost quite a bit, but that's one of the perks of living in Canada, the shippers get all the money :D

I actually found one today! yahoo! And the shipping (plus 4 teflex sheets) was only $13! Hopefully they will arrive soon with no hassle at the border.
Ariannah, where are you in Canada? I live in Toronto.
