:D I just came off of a 38-day master cleanse and I lost 20lbs - I haven't weighed this much (or little!) since before I had my first baby, and I've had five in 7 years. For different reasons I haven't seen many friends or gone to church for a couple of months. I am used to my new "look" as far as weight goes, and am already looking in the mirror seeing the imperfections and wishing I could look better. Guess we're never satisfied, LOL!
BUT yesterday at church, I had TWO people tell me that I look like I did when I was in my early 20's (I'm 30) like I did when I got married! I've been married almost 10 years. Now granted, my wedding dress definitely still does not fit, but I was so happy to hear that comment. I'm just waiting for my face to get the glow...I can't wait for that! And my wrinkles around my eyes to go away....

How awesome for you, Sherah! :)
I remember the first time I got a true compliment like that when I was about 90 days raw. Someone at church who I didn't see that often walked by me, said hi, stopped and said "wow, you've lost weight, haven't you?" I was sitting down behind the sound board and a pony wall, so she pretty much just saw my face.
and I call it a 'true' compliment becuase she didn't know I was eating different or anything... so I know she truly saw a difference in me.
Looking forward to more of the same now that I'm back on the raw wagon :)
Congrats on 38 days MC, too!!! Wow!

That is terrific. Do you feel as good as you look? That's what is important to me. My health. Yeah, sure, I wanna look good, but I am so glad I don't suffer with migraines anymore!

Yes, I definitely do! But I also think it's something that, like when you're feeling "normal" vs. "sick" - you don't really notice how good the "normal" feels until you get sick. You know? Just this morning I was thinking of the list of things (still short but definitely things have happened!) that have changed for the better since I've gone raw...I need to write them down so I don't forget! Too easy to take it for granted. :o

I am always so amazed by people that accomplish the master cleanse. I honestly don't know if I could do it. I want to so badly, but don't know if I can conquer my obsessions with food. This is probably just what I need to heal my addictions and my body. Congrats on accomlishing this task! How amazing!!! What did you do?

Thanks! I'm not sure what you meant by "what did you do?" though - I did it for 38 days, drinking the lemonade concoction and doing the saltwater flush just about every day. I LOVED being on it - I could do it forever......but towards the end I started definitely hearing my body say "that's enough". I probably won't do it that long again ~ when I did it before, 30 days, that was perfect; I lost 24 pounds that time, but I had more to lose then too.
The Master Cleanse book is online here:

You can also read more about it in the "juicing" section on this forum; there are quite a few people doing it there too.

Doesn't it feel great when people mention it?!?
I haven't been 100% but I have been working my way up to it. Just last week, one of my college freinds, whom I haven't seen in over 2 years told me that I looked great. And it's not in the "oh hi, good to see you, you look great." but more of a whispered "you look good." comment...like it was wrong for him to say it out loud (??).
it feels good when people notice. someone had also commented on my skin and hair. it shows i'm doing soemthing for myself ina positive manner.

Eat "session" with raw I look younger and younger to the general public. This can be a problem considering I'm only 19. I don't want to look much younger these days!! I'm down to 12 :( I shouldn't be complaining because I'll love it when I get older, but yikes....I'm 12?? lol. Now, if I put on make up and got dressed up I'm sure I could look 14, but I don't want to do that haha. Then again, some 14 year olds these days look 19. I hope I'm not hijacking the thread! I'm curious as to how old people think I look? It's probably hard because you already know my age....

Both done on the same day. Ha. I look at these and I still look so young, no matter how dressed up I get.
P.S. I appologize these are so big. I don't know how to resize them right now on this laptop. If you want me to remove them I'll be glad to do that for you.

I wouldn't remove them!! Your complexion is sooooo beautiful!!! Older women kill and sometimes pay an arm and a leg for that!!

dreamrawalwz - I wouldn't worry about it. I had the opposite problem of you when I was growing up. I looked older than I was which led to some really uncomfortable situations. (I looked 18 WAY before I was!) Now that I'm older, no one thinks I'm as old as I am. I'm 34 now. So just enjoy this time and be greatful that you look that way. It'll be a God send later! LOL!
