hi..this may seem like a silly question, but i noticed that when i store my fresh veggies in the fridge in ziploc bags my food lasts longer than when i keep it in the plastic storage containers. what do you use?

I use the ziplocs with holes in them...I think they are the veggie bags.

I use the Ever Fresh bags and I love them. My greens stay fresher much, much longer, as do the rest of my veggies. Of course, nothing stays around too long. :)

I got years ago from Tupperware the fridgesmarts collection. They are humidity controlled containers that really, really work well. I love them. I have given them as gifts too. Also the salad spinner from Tupperware works really well. All of these keep foods fresh long, although the food doesn't stay around too long.

Those Ever-Fresh bags DID work very well - as I recall. Of course, now I generally just keep enough fruit in the fridge to last a day or two.....so long-term storage becomes a very minor deal...just my experiences.
