The brand that Alissa carries in her store like some other sites, is raw here is an excerpt from another site--in regards to the brand sold here on Aliss'as site
No other soy sauce in America comes close to this 100% organic, non-GMO Nama Shoyu in flavor or quality. It's the only soy sauce that's aged for four years in cedar kegs by a unique double-brew process, so it can be made with less salt naturally, while still retaining its full-bodied flavor and delicate bouquet. Nama Shoyu is also unpasteurized (read: the only raw soy sauce available in North America); it's full of health-giving live enzymes and beneficial organisms like lactobacillus. Ingredients: Organic whole soybeans, mountain spring water, organic whole wheat, sea salt. Contains wheat.

Nama Shoyu ("raw" soy sauce). The difference between nama shoyu and regular shoyu, is that nama (which means "raw"), has not been heated (or had alcohol added) to kill the natural yeasts found in it. While nama shoyu is much more flavorful, it also has a shorter shelf life (depending on where you store it).

"Nama Shoyu and Braggs Liquid Aminos - Once again these items show up often in raw food recipes, and many people think them "healthy". Try drinking a bottle of the stuff, and tell me how you feel. I bet you will feel sick to your stomach! These are highly processed foods that do not occur naturally in nature"
Per John Kohler, a raw guru .....

I think Kohler owns living foods DOT com site.
He may also own discount juicers DOT com site too.
I met him twice and very nice as well as down to earth.
I can't speak for Alissa's product, but since I don't use this product any longer no reason for me to buy.
Michigan, glad to share and then you can read as well decide. This is what it is all about to me.
