Hello,

I am returning to raw food lifestyle, but I need help! My body is just out of whack...

First, I think my adrenal glands are totally shot, my fight-or-flight just seems off. I think coffee is the perpetrator, and I need to stop!!!

ALSO!! My biggest problem, which even continued throughout a previous 3-month stint of eating RAW and being de-caf..... I wake up in the middle of the night and eat, and this has been happening for about 2 YEARS STRAIGHT! It has caused me much mental anguish, and I have tried everything from locking my door with a deadbolt, meditation, giving up coffee... It's like a monster that is out of control. I am hoping that someone has experience with this, and can offer some advice?

I don't know if I'm supplying my body with enough nutrients, protein... I eat nuts like they're going out of style (to the point where I'm wondering if I'm binging?)....

Please help. I'm suffering!

Thanks!
Colleen

ide try drinking green tea all the time because it supresses the appetite .
when i first went raw i was starving for many months and the green tea was my greatest tool .

hi there! i'm new to the site as well!
i would suggest lots and lots of green juice/smoothies. they have an alkalizing effect that's grounding and helps with cravings. they also help with detox and ensure you are getting lots of vitamins and minerals. if you woke up and had a green smoothie every night, i don't think that would actually be a bad thing :-) maybe you aren't eating enough during the day? not drinking enough water? it sounds like there is some fear of starvation or lack of abundance. i hope these ideas help.

peace and love,
marlena

I do the banana "ice cream" before bed, and it really sits and soothes the tummy.

I have been taking Melatonin every night before sleep as well as a flax bowel cleanser. The Melatonin is extremely helpfull with staying asleep and the flax drink helps keep me full through the late hours.;) :D

I do better eating earlier and drinking more water before bedtime. I realize that means sometimes I may have to get up before morning, but I always feel better when I drink more water at night.

When I first started eating my food raw, I went CRAZY with nuts and avocados. Couldn't get enough! But that soon leveled off. Enjoy everything and just relax. You'll find your right fit soon
