This week I am making Alissa's Almost Tuna. It calls for "1/4 cup sprouted lentils (or 1/2 cup just mung beans, no lentils).

Well, I am already in the process of sprouting mung beans, so I figured I would just use mung for the recipe. But it says "just mung means" so does that mean just the beans and not the sprouts?

Also, Pad Thai calls for "mung bean sprouts." When the beans are fully sprouted do I use everything? Or do I have to separate the sprouts from the beans? (I know this is a newbie question :p )

Little side note here: Did anyone ever feel like their first sprouts were their little babies? :) My husband and I have been so proud of our little sprouts! LOL It is really fun watching them grow.

One more question for this thread...Alissa's French Dressing calls for "vinegar" but it doesn't specify which kind? What all kinds of vinegar can I use? Because I hate apple cider vinegar and I would rather use something else.

I am looking at the ecipe now. It says 1/4 c. sprouted lentils (OR 1/2 c. just mung beans, no lentils). This means to me, if you want to use lentils go ahead or if you want to use mung beans, they are sprouted, and use 1/2 c. and don't use lentils.

Then, next ingredients says 1/4 c. mung bean sprouts. Here again it is mung beans that are sprouted. So now if you are only using sprouted mung beans in this recipe and not lentils it would mean 1/2 c. + 1/4 c. = 3/4c. sprouted mung beans used.

This is how I would do the recipe myself.

Vinegar.....
I would use raw apple cider vinegar but you said you don't like that. I don't eat foods necessarily because I like it but that is good for me. I hate nori, but know nori is good so tonight at rawluck I had nori.

I bet 2 teaspoons of the vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice. It is not that much and you probably won't taste the vinegar, but try the lemon freshly squeezed.

Keep us posted on the results.
