Anyone else a Raw breastfeeder?

When i've needed to boost my supply i normally make fenugreek tea, and one know of a raw version or if just swallowing the seeds has the same effect and are the seeds raw?

No, but I plan to be someday soon. Please keep any great advice you have coming as I'm very interested in raw pregnancy and raw bf'ing.

Thanks!

Check out Jinjee's site. She has a whole journal about her raw pregnancy. Her newest miracle is just a few months old. Her site is: www.the gardendiet.com

Hi Veganmama,

Congratulations on getting you little one a great start on life!!!!!

I don't have an answer for you about the raw fenugreek seeds, but you might want to post this question over on the raw food babies bulletin board:

Raw Food Babies Bulletin Board (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfoodbabies)

Also, like Kristi mentioned, Jinjee would be a great person to ask too. Her son is around 4 1/2, almost 5 months now and she eats all raw.

I don't know anything about the tea you spoke about and I have Jinjee's Raw Pregnancy eBook (available at http://thegardendiet.com/aboutbirth.html) and she never mentioned it there. But here is a short blurb she had about nursing and milk production in that eBook:

Nursing - Eating for Good Milk Production

Tahini seems like it brings on an abundance of milk. Any leafy greens are great too, in green juice, salad, or on their own. These include lettuce, chard, kale, parsley, cilantro, spinach, and baby greens. Lots of water is good. Orange juice is great. Nutmilk is wonderful. Tahini milk is fantastic. Nursing, rather than pregnancy, is when I eat a lot more than usual. It makes more sense to grow the baby most after it passes through you!

Raven and Jome are thinner than Shale and Adagio for their sizes and ages. WIth Raven and Jome I didn't know about "hind-milk". This is the milk that comes after the "let-down". When your milk lets down it flows out. After this comes the hind-milk, which is the milk that makes your baby fat. So make sure your baby gets that hind-milk.

Veganmama, you can make fenugreek sprouts! You already love sprouts and they have all the milk-supporting properties and more as sprouts! :)

lol my little ones aren't so little they are 2 and 3 but still love their breast milk. I love the fact that you can sprout fenugreek seeds, how yummy would that be, curry sprouts.

Thanks for the link to the journel, i'll go and have a read
