I just messed around with Alissa's pizza crust recipe and I'm wicked excited to try it. We're having folks over tomorrow for the Oscars and I really want to wow 'em with some raw pizza (they'll be having SAD) - and I want DH to enjoy it.
Here's what I used... we shall see...
2 cup ground flax meal (golden)
water as needed (maybe a cup total?)
a couple squirts (what else can I can it?) of olive oil
the juice from one plumb tomato
half of another regular tomato
1/2 an onion or so
1/2 a zuke - cause I'm trying to get a thin, crispy texture
italian herbs
sea salt (pinch)
This could be great. Or really gross. I'll let ya know. ;)

Was this is the crust you just desribed? What are you going to top it with if not? I love that Rich Cheddar Cheese sauce and it is so easy. I'm bragging about it and I used sunflower seeds too.
You could add marinara sauce to the pizza and top fresh veggies on top of it then.
If you got the eye appeal, the people will scream P I Z Z A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried two raw dishes on workers at this massage place I go to and they loved it.
I even took the crust from Alissa's calzone, since it broke badly on me adding sauce for Cheddar, topped with veggies with different colors and it was a HIT! They were SAD eaters.

That's exactly my goal, Carol. The recipe I posted is the crust.
Plan to top it with cheese, marinara, and lots of fresh veggies.
Only problem? I don't have any macs at all! I need a cheese recipe that doesn't call for them!

You could use cashews or brazil nuts for the pizza cheese.:)
Create a day of love and light!

It sounds like it will be fine! So what time do you want me to come over? LOL!
Let us know how it turns out.
That's the fun part too about raw - you get to tweak recipes and come up with ones that rock YOUR world!
Very cool!

The cheeze was wicked good. I used Alissa's mozzarella cheese - only I use cashews and some nutritional yeast.
Can I just tell you that I'm glowing - beyond the raw glow. Gabe just came home after tasting the pizza (reluctantly) and then running to get cold medicine ... he came in, as I was posting the pics and said, "Baby, wow. Thank you. That REALLY tasted like the pizza I get."

Amen to raw. :D

Wow, what a fabulous compliment Beckla. I'm excited for you. I'm getting the wows from the free massage bed place. I've been bringing them in raw food. My hubby is not into gourmet stuff and loves things extremely simple. I like simple too, but then again, I wow myself sometimes and compliment me. It's fun hearing others are impressed wit the tastes. Thanks for sharing What's on the menu for hubby next?

It was wicked good on first taste and night. But I will be honest -- it's best fresh served. REALLY good then. But the true effect - and this has likely been said elsewhere - is that while pizza on the WHOLE food and SAD food front gets better with time... raw pizza, in my experience, is better the fresher it is.
So I HIGHLY, truly, recommend my recipe. And, at an equal level, recommend it be served the day it's made. (warm from the dehydrator - there are hours involved, but I swear by this recipe)
