I'm in the process of going 100% raw. Am about 80%.
One other person (my mom) in the household is also about 80% raw, the others (my dad and my kids) are totally SAD.

I can do all day raw until I get home from work at dinner time. My 12 and 10 year old kids have to spend every other weekend with their dad and he absolutely wouldn't allow me to have them go raw. So, I prepare a cooked meal for the kids and my dad, and I usually end up eating at least some of it.

Any suggestions to help me not succumb to the SAD stuff on the table?
Thanks,
tpvu

Keep eating raw baby and you won't WANT those SAD foods. Just read all the posts pertaining to that here. This place is a wealth of info.
Welcome!
Wait! What do you mean he won't ALLOW you to have them go raw? 10 and 12? Aren't they old enough to decide? Does he live with you? I'd say phooey on him!

Perhaps he doesn't want them to be raw when he's with him, but I certainly don't see how he could control them while they're home with you.

At the very least, start incorporating lots and lots of raw food when they ARE with you. There are so many yummy recipes out there, they'll love it and soon start asking for more. Honest, it works!

This is tough on the kids - to have a battle going on even over their food. But that is OK. We all live together and are not divorced and the food choice issue can be a real battleground for us also. In my house - even if the coolest kid who sets all the trends loves my smoothies - it is not enough to turn my 12 year old around. Maybe if the raw foods were the subversive politically incorrect foods?
