Hi all,

How long should I leave my mung beans to sprout before using them - and what can I use them for, apart from just throwing them into a salad? Does anyone have any good recipes?

I also have some aduki beans on the go, but they're pathetic really, not all of them have grown tails and the ones that have are tiny, after about 4 days - is this normal or have I got bad beans?

Thanks in advance :)

Aduki beans take a long time to grow so just be patient. Also beware of hard ones that didn't sprout when you eat them.

Mung beans can be sprouted really long or you can eat them with shorter tails. Most people sprout them long. Look up pictures of "mung bean sprouts" on google.

Veganfor life and vgloveforlife - thank you so much for the info. My mung sprouts are about the same as in the pic - so I could leave them longer?

And I guess I'll just be patient with my poor adukis :o

Thanks again :)

If your mung bean sprouts look like those in the pic, you should eat them now. :p

I'm going to make them into something like a soup I think....
