I thought you all might want to know that I've just posted a feature on our good friend and gifted raw chef, Fairygirl, at The Sunny Raw Kitchen. Along with a glimpse into her world, you'll also find two of her delicious dessert recipes.

Beautiful photos!
I have only been a member here for a week or two, but I am already in awe of Fairygirl's beautiful raw creations. I will definitely be in line when she publishes her e-book.

I hope that's ok. I LOVE the stackers, they look so cute. Now I have to find one of those little jugs to wrap in plastic and make one! I was going to BUY a stacker maker, but this is even better (well, cheaper!)
I can't wait to make them. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you all for the great feedbacks!
I, too, was fascinated by Fairygirl's creative process. I realized she is operating somewhat like me for writing, or any other artists for that matter...
Apasaraw,
Oh, I just looooooooove your new avatar. So, so soothing!
Actually, funny you should ask...
Writing has always been one of my talents and passions since a pretty young age. In high school I used to write lots of poetry and wrote for the school newspaper. I also wanted to go into Journalism in college (actually, it's what prompted me to get serious about learning English too!) but then decided against it, feeling it wasn't going to be the most fulfilling way for me to use my writing abilities (wayyyy too much pressure and timelines!)
So I ended up writing mostly for my eyes only (I must have kept a daily journal for something like 15 years.)
After many years of 'silence', I've picked up my pen again (so to speak) for The Sunny Raw Kitchen. I'm amazed to see how the "inspiration tap" was turned back on, as though it had never stopped. To be able to use my passion/talent to share about something so wonderful as raw foods is a true gift and I'm really enjoying the process.
How Life is full of surprises! I certainly hadn't seen that one coming! LOL

Carmella, life IS full of surprises...funny how it has all come together!
I remember Joseph Campbell talking about looking back on your life and seeing how it really looks planned sometimes..the things that lead you about and connect...they can seem so random at the time but tell a tale as years pass.
I really enjoy your writing....I'm glad you're sharing it!

I just had to mention that I made the Chocolate Cream Stack again, making sure that my measurements were okay, and WOW!
You just gotta try it! Sooooooo yum!
Iris,
About the carrot cake, not to disappoint you but I think it was one of those cases where it actually looked better than it tasted! LOL
Here's what Fairygirl had to say about it...
"I made a carrot cake yesterday. It turned out OK but i think i used too many carrots - it was Alissa's recipe, but when she said 7 carrots...well that could mean anything, so i used 7 medium which think were too big. Oh well, better luck next time."
WOW... great post on fairygirl. I finally got a chance to read it. I can't wait to try that chocolate stack!
Also, just wanted to let you know I tried your Barley pizza crust but I used buckwheat instead (I misread). I love it (much more than the calzone crust)! I made little pizza's... going to whip up another batch tomorrow!

Sorry I didn't take the time yesterday to respond properly to all your kind words...
I really feel blessed! Thank you!
greeneyedredhead99,
Welcome to this wonderful board! I am honored to be an inspiration on your raw journey.
Ama,
Thanks for the tip about the Buckwheat meant-to-be Barley crust. he he Sometimes, the best recipes come from apparent 'mistakes'! Better than the calzone crust eh? Well, now you've got me hooked! I'll have to try it next time!
