Asian dressing and iceberg lettuce. Yip, plain ole iceberg lettuce.
Also sea vegetables.
I'll have a new addiction in 3 or 4 days though. It's fun because I can never guess what it will be.
Red peppers. After trying the "Red pepper crackers" aka Crazy Bread I realized how yummy red peppers were. Great for cheese, crackers and I even used it as a base for soup.

I'm hooked on grapefruit, too!
Here's the tapenade/mushroom recipe... I also added in some mint per alissa's recipe cause I love that extra flavor.
Tapenade Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed-mushrooms-normal
Can't remember where I got this from - keep recipes in my email. But I think this is based on a recipe in RAWVolution (more olives and garlic and
love the chive/cilantro spice mix).
Ingredients
* 60 shiitake mushrooms, stems removed
* 2½ cups italian olives, chopped
* 1 cup raw pine nuts, ground in a food processor
* ½ cup chives, minced
* ½ cup cilantro, minced
* 7 cloves garlic, minced
* ¼ cup stone-ground mustard
Preparation
1. Mix all ingredients (except mushrooms).
2. Put a small spoonful of mix on the underside of each mushroom
cap (should completely fill the cap).
3. Dehydrate at 100°F for 12 – 18 hours (I dehydrate closer to 12 than 18).
4. Cilantro and various olives make a nice garnish for this recipe.
These can be put in the dehydrator the night before you want to eat
them. Just store them in a glass container for the rest of the day.

maybe I just don't like portobello mushrooms? cause that's all I"ve tried so far in different recipes.. could that be possilbe? :confused:

I'm currently going nuts over Alissa's carrot/pecan/mushroom burgers! I've added jalapeno and a bunch of cayenne to them and then have a big blop of guacamole and a slice of tomato....delicious.
(I haven't posted for ages, but read the board everyday, planning on being more active now)

I love spinach smoothies and Alissa's spinach dip. I had a smoothie for breakfast and the dip with onion bread and veggies for lunch...and then again as a snack! I've probably had 8 oz of spinach today (half of one of those large containers)...sounds about right. I have to buy one every 2 days! Yum.

Seems to be a grapefruit epidemic. I've been juicing them for the SAD boyfriend.

mmm! great idea re: the ginger!
I used regular button mushrooms and think next time I'll stuff some cherry tomatoes and other goodies (what yet, beats me). My husband hates mushrooms.

completely addicted to:
avocado with mung bean and alfalfa sprouts, sauerkraut, a spoonful of miso, and a dash of apple cider vinegar or fermented pumpkin seed "cheese". . . . the most heavenly meal, it's been my midday meal for the past few weeks and my mouth is watering now just thinking about it!
oh and i'm also in love with black mission or turkish figs (organic of course) with their perfect crunchy little seeds!

dry figs , + south park :cool:
the chili recipe in alissa's book... but instead of 4 cups of sprouted barley, i use two cups of sprouted barley, 1 cup sprouted wheat and 1 cup sprouted lentils.

Hey Iceberg lettuce is highly underrated.
I find it delicious, watery, and sweet!
My current "addiction" to use the phrase loosely.... sweet, ripe tomatoes!

Artisana coconut butter!!! It could be my every and only meal, anytime, all the time!
I was also addicted to coconut butter for almost half a year when I first started raw. It would satisfy any type of cravings I had. :D
Blueberries! Funny, how I didn't used to like these at all now I need them everyday.

I was just telling Don the other day how interesting it is to watch our 'addictions' change. When it's not one thing it's another...
Right now, we can't get enough greens. Yammy, I'm with you about spinach! I could eat the stuff by the handful!
Oh, and my home-made sauerkraut. Mmmmmmmmmmm! I swear, it's getting better everyday...
