The Surprises Keep Coming

I was asked to give a talk to a group on Friday evening and was corresponding with the event planner. She wrote to say they'd have dinner beforehand and that I'd be welcome to join them. I hemmed and hawed and then finally wrote back explaining that I'm a raw food vegan - but that I'd be happy to sit with them while they ate.

I expected her to ... well... I dunno?

Instead, she wrote back immediately saying how impressed she is and that I should mention it to the group, as they'll likely be very intersted in hearing about it. (it has nothing to do with my presentation, but...)

I'm finding California doesn't seem to have raw naysayers either...in L.A. there seems to be a raw food place on every corner.

Color me jealous! I SO wish we had a raw food place nearby. I suppose the Organic Garden isn't too terribly far... but you'd think a major city like Boston would have at least one in town.
