Hi! I'm new to the raw thing and I was wondering if soy or rice milks are considered raw foods?
Also, what do some of you consider to be staples in your diet? I am a lover of all veggies and would love some advice on other ingredients I could use to experiment with my meals.
Thanks Y'all!

Welcome to our great group.

I would guess soy milk is processed and NOT raw.

May do a search here for milks here as I remember almond, cashew, maybe sunflower milk making too.

Tons of ideas you will find by just hanging out here. Alissa's book very help with her DVD.

You will find lots of recipes here too. People are great so you are never alone if you have questions too. Check out the photos posted. You will wow yourself into the beauty of raw.

Again, freely ask questions. It's a learning process and we have all been where you are today. I'm still learning daily even been this way for a long time too.

If you have kids there is a raw link for feeding kids raw too.

Sorry to tell you, but no.:( Soy beans are heated during processing. Not only that, most thing that are packaged and sold in the USA have been homogenized. This process alone makes them none raw.

I suggest you try making nut mylks. They can be fun to make and they are pretty good. As carolg stated above, do a search you will find loads of useful information.

Keep coming back, keep asking questions, and keep living this wonderful life we call raw.:D
