Lest you think you're being ignored, you're not! Welcome!

I'm not one to answer this, since I still drink wine - there's debate about this - try searching the forums for "wine" and you'll likely get some older conversations about it.

I eat artichoke hearts on my salad on occasion - but do not steam artichokes in the traditional sense. The message of this Board is really advocacy for eating as raw as possible - but you'll find that many approach the lifestyle on various levels.

Regardless, glad to have you here! =)

I love artichoke hearts and buy them canned, which I know isn't raw .. but I figure if that helps me eat more salads and greens, it's ok... maybe one day I'll try to get off of them.....

I don't know how you would eat an artichoke completely raw?

as for wine.. I don't drink it .. sorry... but I do know on alissa's dvd's one of the women brought up that question and she said you could have organic wine which is the same as raw wine.

I know that some un-raw people who swear by organic wine anyway because there are less ""sulfites" (I think that's the word?) so you don't end up with a hangover the next morning.

good luck!
