Greetings to all who have journeyed this path before me. As a newbie to this awesome world of raw gastronomic delights, I would appreciate any advice, freely given, to help guide my way....

I am a 44 year-old woman living in Seattle, WA. I am married to the most generous, kindly and supportive man...a true keeper! We have been together for the last 24 years, and are the proud parents of a beautiful, graceful and magical daughter, Alatariel LeraLonde, 23 y/o.

As a child growing up in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, I was very fortunate to have parents who fed their children many raw and natural foodstuff,
gathered with their own hands....raw fish, shrimp, crab, fruits, seaweed of every description and even liver...yep, it's true....the Hawaiian diet included raw calves liver. Marinated with raw seaweed, salt and other seasoning, it was relished by many.

It is my hope to make this journey a fun and pleasurable experience. Perhaps with your help and support, it will be even more...Malama Pono...Blessed Be!

A warm welcome to you neighbour! Seattle is a fun place to be raw. Have you checked out www.rawseattle.org ? I went there a few weeks back and stopped at Chaco Canyon for some yummy raw carrot cake. It was a delightful raw and vegan cafe-cant wait to go back.

Thanks for introducing youself-so glad to have you here. Hope your raw journey is fun and enlightening.

Blessings
Carmel

Thank you for your warm and kindly welcome. Yes, I have had a very unusual childhood. Natural food-gathering was a definite part of our daily lives. Imagine diving into frigid spring waters at 5:00 AM to gather limu 'ele'ele, (a long tender seaweed). This was pretty common. Or gathering wild guavas and liliko'i-passionfruit-so mama could make guava nectar for everyone!
I sure miss those days.....

Sweetgoddess, I hope the Seattle sun has been shining well on you. Thank you for your warm regard. I shall visit rawseattle.org, as you have recommended. Enjoy the beautiful days and nights we are blessed with!
