Do you mind sharing the recipe for the sushi you made for our parent? The one posted in the photo's only thread?

Hi Linda! :)
Thanks for your interest. I have to admit that I had one SAD ingredient in it, which is brown sweet rice. The rest are raw. I must say it tastes extremely delicious. I made it 4 times already; 2X for SAD potluck, and 2X for my family gatherings(everyone's SAD). Everyone loved it.
The stuffings were:
green onion,
cilantro,
cucumber
red leaf lettuce,
celery,
avocado,
beets,
marinated shitake mushrooms,
marinated carrots
Marinate:
1/4 C ACV
1/4 C agave
1 tsp sea salt

Wonder if ground up in the food processor cauliflower would fake people that you have rice there. Doesn't parsnips also come out like rice too or maybe both together. Just a thought to replace the rice. Thanks for sharing.

LOL, yeah I was like "that sure looks so much like rice, how did she do it?"
the filling for the sushi sound delicious and I think there is a parsnip recipe like Carlog said.........I hear it comes real close to rice.
Thank you so much for sharing the recipe Linda!

I chop up cauliflower (some bite size, and some pieces even smaller) then I add a little soy sauce and cayenne and eat. You can try adding different veggies to have it similar to your dish.

Rowanc
I have used chopped up caulifower in Nori rolls, though, with sliced vegetables, and it RAWKS... just put it in the processor and pulse it until it's "rice" consistency.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all of your suggestions regarding rice replacement. Do they 'taste' like rice? or just 'look' like rice? My picky SAD brother hasn't liked any raw dishes that tried to emulate the SAD version. It HAS TO taste exactly like SAD, texture and all. So, unless the cauliflower/parsnip actually taste like rice, he won't even eat them. He is so hard to please. But he is a super nice brother. :D
